Who Represents You? (i.e. at least we get to pull the levers)

French Vanilla Ice Cream

or

Vanilla Ice Cream

As we move to another election season.

The Republicans Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the business community. You can expect Romney as the nominee or, if he does poorly at the start, another "sane nominee" will be quickly offered up  to counteract the totally bats**t ones that also are in the party. This wing of the party is like the crazy relatives living  under the stairs who no one talks about. You can let them get close to power but not too close. You don't want them breaking anything. blah, blah, blah... abortion...blah,blah, blah....gay marriage...blah, blah, blah....a secret Kenyon....blah,blah. blah....the flag. The people who really run the Republican party will never let this group assume power but they know they can be relied on to react with dog whistle like accuracy.

or

The Surrendering Democrats.

The Democrats of the last forty years has made France's defense of the homeland in 1940 look absolutely heroic. There's about a solid 10% of the democratic party who actually seem to believe in anything but mostly they're just bought by the same people who own the Republican party. They just cast in different roles. One has been cast as the bully and the other is convinced they need to compromise at all costs and no matter how stupid the compromise is. It's all Kabuki theater. One Republican enters a room with 49 Democrats. The Republican automatically believes he has a mandate and demands surrender; the Democrats start scrambling to see who can come up with the most embarrassing compromise the quickest. Obama is doing just fine for the business community. They have two parties and we have none, but if you listen to the press their arguments are epic and the chasms are so vast that there is no common ground.

While that's all for now. I hope you are satisfied with your choices. Whatever you do, don't vote for a third party or you'll throw your vote away.
