This is great news. Michigan has decided to have a referendum concerning whether all citizens of the their state will get to enjoy democracy or maybe voting has become just a passe idea. Unfortunately, the pro-democratic elements will start ten points down and you can rest assured that tons of dirty money will be coming to Michigan to flood the state with confusing and misleading commercials. This was the same ballot initiative that the supporters collected about twice the number of signatures they needed to put this on the ballot but it was turned down because the signatures were given to them, I kid you not, in the wrong font size. This is likely going to be the next big fight for labor and local control and it will determine whether America will continue on its descent from democracy and back to its monarchy roots or whether this course can be reversed.

Wisconsin aftermath: Voters in disbelief over Walker victory
We need something radical like voting on a paper ballot and then counting them. How come my ATM machine doesn't seem to make mistakes but my voting machine does. I guess choosing your leaders aren't quite as important as get your fast cash from an ATM.

Elizabeth Warren was on Rachel Maddow last night. After facing off against Wall Street's biggest banks and I'll add that their lackey isn't all that scarey

"I've been told a lot of times about what's not possible," Warren said, when Maddow asked about Washington's intractable political culture. "I was told when I was down in Washington, we couldn't have a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the reason was because the largest lobbying force ever assembled on the face of the earth has said 'no, they've said they'll kill it, they've said it won't happen," and you know, my view on that just meant, then you stand up and you push harder, you push back, you don't step down. ...we're talking about the whole future of the middle class."
"I am not giving up on this," Warren continued. "I am ready to take this fight all the way to the floor of the United States Senate."

Excuse me Scott Brown isn't one of the privileged few because he owns a truck that he parks in Washington. Just like anyone else with ten million in the bank. Here is his truck:

It doesn't seem like there's much future in being a ratings leader on MSNBC. Hey even Cenk Uygur's numbers weren't bad.
Maybe a key to liberal pro-government station's decisions might be that GE (i.e. the boss) pays 14.3% of its corporate income tax rather than its top corporate rate of 35% in the US and they have a whole team of tax specialists that specialize in looking for loopholes. It hard to be a pro-big government station when these are the people who back. Then you add Comcast to the mix and I'm not sensing a power to the people wave sweeping over the station.
