Romney comes out big for "right to work" for less
There so many misrepresentations and outright lies in this that you really need a score card. The claim that card check is not a free ballot is in of itself laughable. Who does he think fills out the card? I wonder how he feels about billionaire's paying half as much in taxes for sitting on their butts that working people do for going to work. Then again that is probably too close to home.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker established a program that has given hundreds of thousands of dollars in merit raises and bonuses to some state workers even as he preached cost-cutting and pushed through a law reducing most public workers' pay and eliminating their union rights.
An analysis of data The Associated Press obtained through an open records request showed Wisconsin agencies have handed out more than $765,000 in bonuses and merit raises this year to nearly 220 employees.
The awards are meant to reward stellar performance. But they come as the state faces a $143 million shortfall and after thousands of state workers took pay cuts through provisions in the collective bargaining law requiring them to contribute more to their pensions and health care.
Walker, who faces a June 5 recall election prompted by anger over the collective bargaining law, prides himself on fiscal restraint.
The Republican governor wasn't available for comment Friday. His spokesman, Cullen Werwie, referred questions to Walker's top aide, Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch, who said the governor established the program because he felt it was important to mirror the private sector and provide rewards for outstanding work.

Union sues to block Indiana right-to-work law - CBS News
Among other things, the union claims the law violates the equal protection clause of the U.S. Constitution by treating building and construction workers and public workers differently from others. The law's provisions regarding construction trades took effect immediately, impairing existing contracts, the union said. Public employees aren't allowed to opt out of union membership to the same degree as private-sector worker, the union said.
"No legitimate state interest is served by requiring public sector employees to subsidize the cost of representation services for private sector employees who refuse to pay any fees to the Union," the lawsuit said.
Union members had protested that the law unfairly makes union members who pay dues also pay for the representation of non-union members who choose to opt out under the new law.

Former union employee Fran Tarkenton comes down on Union employees

Fran Tarkenton was on television complaining about the municipal employee union having it too good in support of Indiania's union busting measure before the superbowl. After twenty years Tarkenton said these workers can retire and just live off the governement which is too much for Tarkenton. Let's not even talk about Tarkenton who lasted just 17 years, collecting all the money he did off his good union job, but now because of that good union job he's allowed to trade on his reputation and collect between 20,000 and 30,000 per speaking engagement. That means in two hours of shooting the breeze he probably outstrips nearly every municple employee he has a problem. And it is not exactly like he earned this by being the top of his profession. I don't recall too many super bowl victories from this mediocre quarterback.

Great moment in this former union employees life as he went on to lead his team to a crushing defeat at the hands of the Oakland Raiders 32-14. It was just one of his impressive three super bowl losses he was able to compile.

Indiana: 20,000 Signed Postcards Say No Way to RTW AFL-CIO NOW BLOG
Today in Indianapolis, union members are at the Statehouse, putting 20,000signed postcards and petitions in the hands of elected officials – Republicansand Democrats. United Steelworkers (USW) member Kelly Hugunin, one of many working every day to raise awareness on the job and in the community, says public opinion is with working Hoosiers.
Everywhere we go, people are happy to sign. Union or not, working people want to stop this attack on middle class jobs.
